What New/ Back to M.A.C

Hello My lovelies!
I recently did a Back to M.A.C am sure most people are familiar with the program, so i got to pick any lipstick of my choosing so i went for CHATTER BOX its an amplified finish as they were out of girl about town which i initially wanted. And to be honest.. i think its not the best choice, doesnt really suit me, but I make it work as best possible.

I also repurchased my Cremesheen glass in BOY BAIT its just a neutral beige lipgloss one of my very fav on M.A.C's. It goes perfect with most my nude lipsticks.

I also recently purchased the REVLON PHOTOREADY foundation. I love revlon foundations, I use the COLOURSTAY in mahogany alongside my LANCOME Teint Idole Ultra.
I picked these up in two shades CAPPUCCINO and MOCHA to get my perfect shade.
Love the finish of this foundation.
I apply it using my Beauty blender or my Real Techniques Buffing brush

1 CAPPUCCINO
2 MOCHA
3 MIXTURE (my shade)

December/January Favourites

Hello My lovelies!!!
Its been a while since my last post. But the new year started with preparations for exams and then exams itself came along and I also celebrated my birthday last month (which I give GOD all the glory for)
But now am back and I thought I'd start with a favourites post, and these are most of the things I seem to find myself reaching for a lot and totally loving. These products range from skin care to make-up (mostly make up)

Firstly face and body;

So we'll start from the right and work our way down:
Soap & Glory Scrub of your life
LUSH Mask of Magnaminty
Ben Nye Banana powder
Milk of Magnesia
M.A.C Charged water Skin hydrating mist

I have always been into body scrubs, i have tried a whole lot of the but my all time favourite has always been Body Shop Olive body scrub, but the stones in them always tend to be too harsh on the skin. There are days and seasons when the body does need such harsh once over but not all the time, so I decided to go and explore and I found what I will consider the HOLY GRAIL of scrubs Scrub of your life by soap and glory. All you need to do is wet down and scrub on,
Its a clear gel with pink beads in them and the beads just glide on the skin
Plus side it also has soap properties, so you can get your scrub and wash on at a go and your out of the shower in no time.
I use this 2-3 times a week.

Next product is my face mask; Mask of magnaminty (it is a face and back mask) by LUSH, most people are familiar with lush products, but if you are not, its a cosmetic brand that sell fresh handmade products (soaps, bath bomb, body and face products e.t.c...)
this mask is a peppermint mask that helps fight eruptions and outbreaks and returns your skin to tip top condition. I am totally in love with this mask, its unbelievable since i got it in December I pretty much want to use it everyday (no lies) but I only use it 3 times a week or just every other day, I apply it with my fingers and leave on for 10-15mins.
As the name implies it smells of peppermint (which i love), its a green mask with with chunks in it.
Once you apply this to the face, you immediately start to feel the mint property on the skin and once off it leaves the skin feeling pretty smooth and continuous use those help with outbreaks (DOESN'T STOP IT!!!!) but it helps reduce them and control them if that makes sense to anyone.

Next is my Banana Powder; I have totally been loving this powder, ever since i got it months ago I always use it anytime I apply my make up. Its now bye bye M.A.C translucent powder, Heelllllo Ben Nye.
I use this to set my under eye concealer and also highlight areas on my face and it doesnt crease. It is totally worth the hype.

Next is Milk of Magnesia: this product has been the most surprising find or rather product I have ever been introduced to. Found out about this from a make up artist on YouTube wayne goss (gossmakeupartist) you guys should totally check him out.
I have always had Normal/Combination Oily Skin for as along as I can remember, I wear make up and less than half way through the day my nose area gets all shiny and lights up like a Christmas tree, I tried all sorts of primers, oil control lotions carried blotting sheets everywhere and all sorts, it didnt budge until i watched his video titled: THE BEST OF THE BEST MAKEUP TIPS EVER!!!!
  and he mentioned the milk of magnesia, I gave it a try and voilĂ  problem solved.

Next is M.A.C Charged water Skin hydrating mist; not much to say about this product than I just love how it makes my skin feel, mostly wear it on days were I don't wear make up and occasionally as a finishing mist above make you or to moisten make up brushes before use.

Next, on to make up products;

LUSH lip scrub in (mint julips)
WET n WILD lipsticks in (Sugar plum fairy and Cherry Picking)
L'OREAL Super liner perfect slim felt tip in (intense black)
NYX Mega shine lipgloss (Miami Babe and Tea Rose)
SOAP & GLORY Thick and fast Mascara

I love wearing MATTE lipsticks and your lips have to be in tip top condition to pull them off without looking ashy or flacky, and that is were my lip scrub comes in, I have always done the Vaseline and sugar scrub for as long as i can remember but I wanted something different so I picked up Lush's lip scrub; and all you have to do is scoop some out, scrub your lips and lick off the excess sugar on your lips and off you go.
doesn't get better than that.
My next go to products of the last month or so have been my lippies from NYX and WET n WILD, got them at different times be since they arrived I cant stop reaching for them. I love the mega shine lip glosses because I can wear them on there own when I want to go for a natural look and they look amazing.
The wet n wild lipsticks are sooooo pigmented I dont know why its taken me a while to jump on the wagon, but am so glad I did. Like their names imply sugar plum fairy is a plum shade almost similar to M.A.C's Rebel (it could easily stand as a dupe) and cherry picking is a cherry pinkish shade not like anything I have already which is good.
The last two products I just had to add to the list because I just seem to find myself reaching for them alot, the liner is so easy and effortless to use.And the mascara gives nice volume and length to your lashes.

Hope all my rambles was helpful to someone.
If you guys have tried or are planning to try any of these products please let me know how you get along with them.

What New: Origins, M.A.C

Hey Guys!
I recently picked up a couple of things from M.A.C and Origins,
I feel so bad because this has been seating in my draft for almost 1wk

I recently got finished with my Fix+ and I wanted to repurchase but to be honest I didn't see much of what the fix+ did (for me!) it might work well with other people.. but for me.. I just got sick of it really quickly, which is why it toke me so long to get through with the One bottle I had (purchased over 1yr ago!)

 I figured I could try something different, so I picked up the Charged Water Hydrating Mist;
The suggested instruction says to spay six inches from face (eyes closed obviously!) and it can be used at any time as many times as needed. Honestly I just think its pretty much the same as Fix+.
I mostly use this on days when I have no make up on, I cleanse my Face then spray this on before I moisturise, because it does tend to get a little sticky, so my moisturiser helps diffuse it a tad bit.

So far I like this product, and I seem to be reaching for it everyday since I got it. Its definitely something worth having, not necessary!! but worth having, especially for those who tend to have dry/tight face half way through the day in the winter times.

Next two products I got are repurchases;
 The Select Moisturecover concealer in NW45.
It comes in a tube with the applicator like a lip gloss,
It has a paste like consistency, which I really love and it doesn't dry too easy
 which gives you enough time to work with it and it blends like a dream.
I use this under my eye, I apply it with the wand and blend it out using my real techniques pointed foundation brush or just your fingers will do the magic.

The Prep+Prime Lip.
There really isnt much to say about it, it comes in a twist stick,
it looks white but goes on silky smooth and clear just like a lip balm and I just love it.
I tend to reach for it most when I wear matte lipsticks.

M.A.C Mineralize Charged Water: £15.00
M.A.C Select moisturecover: £14.50
M.A.C Prep+prime Lip: £12.00

Next stop was Origins. I picked up the super spot remover and Never a dull moment cleanser
 I initially went to the Origins Stand at Debenhams just to get the spot remover gel but they were out,(sad) so I just had to order them online at www.origins.co.uk.
Both products are gel based.

The Spot remover comes in only 10ml bottle, for some reason I just don't know why I was expecting it to be alot bigger (giggles). But am guessing that bottle should last at least 1month as you only need to dab a drop on with the tip of your fingers on your dark spots, not rub it all over you face (well unless you face is fully covered in spots, then you need to stack up).
Pros: Its easy to use, and when i say easy to use i meas its just like 1,2,3... put a little on your finger, dab it on the problem spots and voilĂ . You do not need any special tool or specific motion to apply. Just dab
It goes on clear just like the colour of the gel itself and absorbs really fast, like in seconds.
Cons: The product doesn't have the greatest smell, it smells like tree extract and lingers quiet a while;
After drying  I get the sense that my skin is slightly tight (like when you have a face mask on), its nothing excessive and if you are going to be wearing you make-up right away you really wont feel it.

The next is the cleanser, I didnt have the intention of getting this, but since I was ordering online, I figured I'd just add one more product to the basket.It comes in 150 ml (only size as with most cleansers) This doesnt have such a bad smell, it has a sweet smell with the extract undertone to it ( if you get what i mean by that).
A little bit of this product goes along way, which is good ( a pro) and it lathers up pretty good as long as your face is damp before putting it on. Its a very thick gel so you'd want to massage it in properly.

This is not a review as i just started using this products, these are just initial observations.

Never a dull moment cleanser: £17.00
Super Spot remover gel: £13.00

Hope this was helpful and informative to some one!
If you guys have tried or are planning to try any of these product please let me know how you fair with them.

Face of the day

Happy Sunday People!!!
 I recently posted my foundation routine but didn't put up pictures with it (silly me). Although there are a few changes like my highlight and setting powder... the technique is pretty much the same ;)
so here it goes! (excuse the background objects)

Face:
LANCOME Teint Idole Ultra Foundation (shade 14)
M.A.C studio select cover-up for my under eyes (NW45)
LANCOME brow pencil (030 BRUN)
M.A.C Studio Finish for my brow highlight (NW45)
Ben Nye Banana powder to set my under-eye concealer
Ben Nye Chestnut Powder all over my face
Ben Nye Ebony powder to contour
SLEEK blush in Flamingo on my cheeks

I never really need to use concealer once my foundation is on, because it covers pretty much all spots and blemishes, that is why it is advised to use a foundation first before considering going over with concealer.

Eyes:
L'OREAL super liner perfect slim (intense black)
MAYBELLINE great lash (blackest black)

(I don't where eye shadow on a daily base)

Lips:
NYX lip liner pencil in EARTH TONE (outline)
RIMMEL lip liner pencil in SPICE (fill in my lips)
NYX Mega shine lip gloss in TEA ROSE (all over lip)

Stay Blessed!

What's New: Sleek, Ben Nye

                Hey guys,
So this is my first "what's new" post! not like I dont get new stuffs every once in a while, but I get lazy, and just cant be asked! :(
But here i am now, with my very first and hopefully more to come..
I purchased all of these least week.

  I did purchase these online from pakcosmetics.com, because I needed to justify paying £8.00 for next day delivery on some others things i wanted. I have seen youtube MUA beautybyjj, lizlizlive and some others rave about these lipsticks but I just have never gotten around to picking one up, I kinnda just always stick to MAC, Revlon and sometimes Rimmel.

I picked three lipsticks, VAMP 786, a matte wine colour lipstick;
LIQUEUR 775, a beige ish colour ;
MYSTIC 783, a fushia colour
I gotta admit i love the colour payout of these lipsticks, they are very pigmented and they go on smoothly.
so far I have only worn Vamp and Liqueur and i am loving them.
Price: £4.99

check out swatches below

I also bought two blushes also from sleek, I already picked one of these up before but it broke during my last visit home, so I tot i'd pick it up again!
these are also from pakcosmetics.com by the way

flamingo and coral:
flamingo is a pink blush with slight gold reflexes in it (doesn't really come up on the picture)  its goes on quiet bright, so very light hand is needed with this blush, i dont want to come out looking like a black harajuku doll.
Coral is a brown/gold blush, as u can see in the swash it basically comes out looking gold. Love the this blush on my skin, it give me sort of an highlight glow.
I have always loved sleek blushes, anyone who has any one knows how pigmented these blushes are, a little goes a long way and i love that in my blushes and you get 8g of product compared to MAC's 6g.
i use my real techniques blush brush to apply them.
Price: £4.49

Finally got my hands on the Ben Nye translucent face powders.
picked up three shades: the infamous BANANA powder, CHESTNUT and EBONY(the darkest shade)
I ordered these online from makeupeffects.co.uk.
MUA on youtube have been going cray-cray about these powders especially the banana powder and I have been looking for a replacement for the MAC prep and prime translucent powder so i thought i'd give this a try and see how i get on with it.
so far only used them twice and i'd give them a thumbs up.
I use the banana under my eye to set my under-eye concealer, the chestnut is dead on similar to my face powder so that will give my studio fix a break and I use the ebony as a contour powder as this is too dark for my skin tone.
I also picked two other shades in TOPAZ and SIENNA but at the moment they seem to be out of stock stock, and aren't getting any sent from Ben Nye manufactures until mid December (sad, i know).

Prices:
Banana 1.5oz: £5.90
Chestnut 3.0oz: £6.25
Ebony 3.0oz: £6.25
For the amount of product your getting I think these powders are pretty affordable and you dont have to go all out and get three or more like me. you could just stick to one or two.

I hope you find this post helpful and insightful.
Have a lovely weekend.

Any questions? or you want to know how I wear these lipsticks?

My Foundation Routine

                                                                       Hey Guy!!!!
Wow its been 3 months and 2 weeks since my last post (not like anyone is counting) was having way too much fun with the fam during the summer to blog and another academic yr is in progress.. but i will try my best to keep up as best possible....
    Sooo... onto my new post. I thought I'd share my new foundation routine. I changed my foundation over 2 months ago to LANCOME TEINT IDOLE ULTRA 24H (with spf 5). I am in the shade 14.
I initially tried getting it much earlier, but the attendant at the stand matched me to a 15 which was the darkest shade, but wen i used it all over my face and it oxidised it looked too dark on my face and i looked like i literally got BAKED and BURNT! (not the best look) and the 14 was too light for my face... but with a new skin care routine my skin colour got alot better and slightly lighter and now the 14 is a much better fit.. but not perfect of course.(enough rambling, let's get to it).

Step 1: I use the MAC Prep+Prime Skin visage all over my face with a cotton pad;

Step 2: I use 2 pumps of my foundation mixed with 2-3 drops of my lustre drop all over my face and neck, working my way from my nose area to my hairline;
 For a dewy/more natural look I use a wet beauty blender sponge
 For a more matte finish I use a real techniques buffing brush
(at this point i work on my eyebrows and contouring)

Step 3: I set my under eye and my T-Zone with my prep+prime powder and the rest of my face (lightly) with my studio fix.

Thats pretty much it..

I am totally in love with the LANCOME foundation, its a medium - full coverage.. easily buildable.
It goes on smooth and easy... honestly its the easiest foundation I have had to work with in a long time.

Hope this was helpful to someone...
